Meet The Team

It takes a great team of people to make SYC happen each year. Here’s a little bit about who they are.

Ste Greenow

Ste has been involved in SYC since it began in 2010. His vision is to see young people have life changing encounters with Jesus, to then go and impact their local churches and communities. Ste is married to Ruth and they have two daughters. He is part of the leadership team at The Foundry Church in Widnes where he is the Families & Communications Pastor. He loves watching a good film or series on Netflix whilst eating a Chinese takeaway!

Dan Lee

Having been coming to SYC since it began, Dan is really excited to be part of the team and to see what God has in store for its future. He is passionate about seeing young people reach their full potential and impacting their schools and communities. Dan is the Youth Pastor and part of the leadership team of Excel Church. He is married to Joy and they have a daughter; Alicia. He is a big fan of 24 and a bit of an Apple geek.

Di Daniels

Di feels it is a massive privilege to use her admin skills to serve both youth leaders and this generation of young people. Di does an incredible job pulling together everything logistical at SYC. She is the Executive Pastor at The Foundry Church in Widnes. Di is married to Paul and they have two children who are grown up and married. Di loves cycling and knitting (but not at the same time).

Sean Smith

Sean is our Chief of Staff, responsible for heading up our amazing team of heroes who volunteer their time to make SYC happen. Sean is married to Cath and they have three children. He is the New Believers, Community & Operations Pastor at The Foundry Church in Widnes. He’s a big fan of Stoke City, loves a good sarnie and a packet of ready salted crisps! If you’ve been to SYC before then you’ll know he loves to dance and he also has a passion for spitting some rhymes…! Ask him, he will show you.

Naomi Gordon

Naomi has been a regular at SYC events since 2011. She loves talking, red lipstick, hats & drinking Chai Lattes in Starbucks! She is passionate about sharing God’s love with young people and to see them reach their full potential and true purpose in life. She recently got married to James and became Mrs Gordon! She is the Youth & Schools Coordinator at New Horizon Church and is currently studying Theology at Mattersey Hall Bible College.

Josh Verity

Josh loves all things SYC because he remembers clearly how it was at a Summer Camp at the age of 8 that he first started following Jesus! Josh is the Youth Pastor at Milton Keynes Christian Centre and considers it to be the best job in the world, as he gets to help young people find treasure! He is soon to be married to Damilola, he loves talking about movies, playing games and pretending to know about sport!

Lois Taviner

Lois is our production manager at SYC, bringing creativity to the team from her experience of working behind the scenes in musical theatres around the UK. She is the Events Manager at The Foundry Church in Widnes, and from September will also be taking on the role of youth pastor. She’s a dedicated Man United fan, loves a gripping series on Netflix and enjoys going for walks with Lottie and Sybil (the family dogs!)

Tom Morrison

Tom oversees our worship team at SYC alongside Dan and is also the Worship Co-coordinator at The Foundry Church in Widnes. He is currently studying towards a degree in Christian Theology, Ministry and Mission at St Mellitus College in Liverpool. Tom is a passionate Chelsea fan (he assures us this started before 2003), a gifted singer and musician and does a brilliant impression of Gollum and Smeagol!

SYC is run from The Foundry Church in Widnes. The Foundry Leadership Team is led by Lead Pastors Adam & Kate Hewitt along with the Lead Team of Di Daniels, Ste Greenow and Sean Smith. They fully endorse and support the work of SYC. Without their encouragement and wisdom SYC simply wouldn’t happen!
